I was a very lucky girl last week to work backstage at menswear label Arckiv's debut runway show: For Here We have no Abiding City (part 1). This was my first real experience of the fashion industry having mostly worked in theatre and film so far - and I had a great time! We had the challenge of setting the scene in St Paul's Church in Shadwell - lots of building, draping and lighting white sheets. The detail, love and passion that had gone into the planning of this event was clear. I found the collection and creative director Fraser Laing so inspiring. Militant, angular pieces layered with structured crinolines and flowing undergarments to the backdrop of Bach, lilies, thistles and white roses. Graceful but ultimately masculine. Just beautiful.
I even managed to pick up some flowers as a memento.
