Hello everyone. Let me just say that in my first few months of blogging I have met some really lovely people from all over the world, and I would like to thank all of you for your overwhelming support so far and for continuing to inspire me with your own amazing blogs!
One of those lovely bloggers is Celeste from Life as Twiggy, who has very kindly invited me over on to her blog to do my first ever guest post! I'm quite excited about this, and hope you guys will pop along and have a look.

Morris the Sensitive Panda

Meet Morris - he is teaching me how to crochet... With a little help from Pip Lincolne's best-selling craft book "Meet me at Mike's". Isn't he a cutie? I just love the slightly glum expression on his face. Now, this is my first ever attempt at crocheting... and so far I have nearly thrown poor barely-started Morris across the room a few times. And I'm probably being a little bit too ambitious... But no matter how squiffy he turns out, I will love him all the same. I'll post a picture when I'm done!

If you want to make your own little Morris, I definitely recommend this book! It's so nicely designed and has loads of fun DIYs to try out. Does anyone else have it?

Thinking of Spring...

The snow is starting to melt and I am getting that Spring feeling! It's London Fashion Week and S/S trends are popping up everywhere... Here are some that I wouldn't mind following:

- Pastels - in moderation, not all at once in the same outfit please!
- Florals - As always! But I'm loving the new digitalised take on the classics.
- 1920s Flapper - any excuse for some quality vintage...

And some I'm not too fussed with:

- Peplums. Sorry, just don't get them.
- Sporty - not that I'm not excited for the Olympics - I just don't think I'll be wearing a leotard to work thank you.

I made the collage above on Polyvore - a fashion bookmarking site that I am newly obsessed with. To see the garment details go here!

What does everyone else think of the S/S trends?

Goodbye Valentines - Hello Isaac!

As my Valentines gift to Jake, we have a new addition to our ever growing pet family... Meet Isaac NEWTon. He is so sweet!

"Hellooo" Says Isaac.

We have been doing lots of research on how to take care of him, and can't wait to get him some more rocks and things to climb for his little land area!

Hope everyone had a lovely Valentines Day!

I had fun hand-stitching this valentines card.

Etsy Bests - Valentines Special!

In this new feature I'm going to be sharing some of the wonderful independent businesses that have caught my eye on Etsy! Here are a few of my top Valentines Day picks:

1. The Catalina Crochet Flower Ear-Warmers by Manzanita

2. Anatomical Heart in a Jar by Kiva Ford.

3. Smitten Mittens for holding hands in the cold by LoveDriven

4. Plush Fox Pillow by Laura Frisk

5. Hand Embroidered Earrings by Skrynka.

Be sure to check out these lovely little independent businesses. If I could, I would always buy handmade over high-street. But since my current budget doesn't even allow for high-street at the moment, I think it will just be browsing for me for a while!
What are your Etsy Bests?

Photo a Day Challenge - Update!

Calling all those who are doing photo a day challenges this year!

You may very well know about this already, but just incase you don't, I have recently discovered a brilliant site that helps you keep track of your daily photos! Shuttercal allows you to upload each photo into a calendar format so you can see your whole month in pictures. The best thing about it is that you don't have to worry about posting everyday, you can wait until the end of the week and upload all of your photos at once. I'm loving having all of my photo challenge in one place - you can view my calendar here.

Has anyone else been using Shuttercal or a similar site? I'd love to know how other people organise their daily photos!

My First Lookbook... A Preview!

I wanted to share some pictures from a photo-shoot I did recently for part of my new shop branding... Mimi (model) and I had a lot of fun dressing up and playing with props - much to the bewilderment of her lovely puppy and kitten Monkey and Lexi! Aren't they little sweeties?

Model: Mimi Newman
Make-up, Styling and Photography: Rachel Good
Helpful Assistants: Monkey and Lexi

These are only a few of my favourites, there were so many lovely shots to choose from. Thanks Mimi for lending me your lovely face! I can't wait to use these more while I'm setting up my shop...

2. Bird Nest Necklace by Sincerely Kinsey - I have wanted to do this DIY since it was first posted.

3. Make a Dreamcatcher by Lune Vintage - long on my to-do list.

4. Fabric Curlers by Life With Monkey - I actually need these!

So many crafty things, so little time... Where to start? And it doesn't help that so many people post even more beautiful DIYs every day... Ohh what a world... ;)
